Lyrics: Philip Larkin
Music: J. Gray/T. Hancocks/A. Scott

Recorded: Fairview Studios, 16 April 2010.

At the time of recording the all night north album, Black and White Tango were Jamie Gray (keys), Tom Hancocks (vocals/bass), Adam Scott (guitar/bass) and Andy Hancocks (drums). Formed at the end of 2006, it was a year before the band played their first gig together. That first year was spent experimenting with sounds; constructing and perfecting unique Black and White Tango soundscapes, until they were happy that they’d created their own unmistakable musical identity.

The band set themselves an ambitious goal: to shrug off the structures and restraints that confine contemporary popular music and in so doing re-define the sonic canvases that underpin popular music itself. Influences include Tchaikovsky, System of a Down, The Doors, Muse, Beethoven, Radiohead, and Lady Gaga.
