Edwina Hayes spends much of her time touring and, at the time of recording the all night north album, had opened shows for an illustrious list of major artists, including Van Morrison, Jools Holland, Loudon Wainwright III, Nanci Griffith and Roy Harper. Born in Dublin, Edwina grew up in Preston, Lancashire, but has lived in Yorkshire since she was a teenager.

Edwina’s debut album Out On My Own was released by Warner Brothers in 2005; the title track to her second album Pour Me A Drink (Twirly Music, 2008) was covered in 2009 by Nanci Griffith on her The Loving Kind album; and in 2009 Edwina’s cover version of ‘Feels Like Home’ was used in the film My Sister’s Keeper, starring Cameron Diaz and Alec Baldwin.
